Dallas, Texas native, Cormeshia Carson Batty, began a romance with creativity, the arts and fashion as a plus-size child, creating characters, writing stories and remaking off-the-rack garments into visual drawings of off-the-chart fashions. A true creative at heart who, after two decades of working in corporate, decided to see where her passion and creativity could take her, and began working towards her lifelong dreams of becoming a published author and editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine—dreams that are not far from reality.
Batty launched Shebatty.com early 2017. The website offers her unique freelance/content/creative writing style, celebrity interviews, product/book reviews and event coverage services. It also features a lifestyle blog where self-care, beauty and fashion take center stage!
Today, this happily married mother of two, the Editor and Official Brand Ambassador for DFW Black Bloggers, and Feature Writer/Photographer for The Dallas Weekly Newspaper. This award-winning beauty and fashion blogger is in pursuit of happiness through her current endeavors in journalism, and has experience as a photographer, event host, pageant judge, and is also a co-leader of the 2018 Texas International Hair and Trade Show’s natural hair department.
Batty also serves as an honorary board member of the Dallas based homeless outreach non-profit Let’s Start Giving Foundation and is the Marketing Director for the Dallas based breast cancer awareness non-profit The Pink Peppermint Project Inc.
