2015. More Pictures Than Words

I’m sure you’re wondering what happened in 2015? I know I’m not the most consistent with my posts, but more than a year went by and I didn’t make any posts.

I can’t tell you how many long, drawn out, explanation filled posts I’ve started and tossed out.  At this point there is no need for all of that because I can show you better than I can tell you about how 2015 played out for me.

By the end of January we found out that we were expecting!

We spend the last weekend of February in Broken Bow, Oklahoma at a cabin with close friends and family.

The weekend getaway to the cabin was fun and much needed. I also took my first pregnancy picture.

In March we found out our baby was due the end of September. My husband was rooting for a boy, my daughter a girl.

My daughter and I went on a girls trip to San Antonio with some of our cousins for Spring Break.

By April I was showing, sleepy all day and awake all night.

By August I was huge and miserable. I couldn’t sleep, sit, stand, walk, or drive comfortably.

I began retaining water in my ankles and lower stomach area, and at 35 weeks I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes.

In the midst of all my third trimester pregnancy madness and sweltering Texas heat, I had professional pregnancy photos taken.

I don’t remember much about September. It was hot, miserable and I couldn’t convince my doctor to put me on bed rest. Every week she would tell me that I needed to be up moving around to help with my labor. And every week I wanted to cry.

This picture was taken at work, the day before I went into labor.

My water broke around 4:30 in the morning during one of my potty breaks. It wasn’t gushing, just a trickle. We got our daughter up, ready, for school and dropped off at daycare before heading to the hospital.

We got checked in and the waiting game began.

25 hours after checking into the hospital I met my second most awesome blessing!

October is a blur, I spent those days recovering from labor and getting acclimated to being a new mom, and now mom of two.

November was busy. I’d returned back to work and holiday cheer was all around. I attended the Dallas Margarita Ball, a holiday toy drive charity event, with friends.

We hosted Christmas dinner at our house and enjoyed spending the day with family.

2015 was a great year!
